An Enormous Thank You to Tom

At our recent AGM, held on 29 November in Bern, we marked the end of an important chapter for Touch Switzerland as Tom Pulles stepped down after four impactful years as President. As we mark this transition, it is with immense appreciation – and no small amount of pride – that we reflect on what Tom has helped build.

Under Tom’s calm and composed stewardship, Touch Switzerland has gone from strength to strength. The domestic game has grown in both quantity and quality, with more players and referees involved than ever before. On the international stage, Switzerland has enjoyed unprecedented success, earning three bronze medals across two divisions at European Touch Championships in recent years, as well as a remarkable fourth-place finish at the 2024 World Cup.

A familiar and committed member of Zug Touch, Tom is also an enthusiastic presence in the refereeing community both domestically and internationally, often alongside his two daughters, Bibi and Lilou, who are forging their own impressive paths as players and referees.

Tom’s openness, friendliness, and ever-present smile have shaped our community as much as his leadership has guided it. And while he may be stepping down as President, we know that he’s not going far, and we’re delighted that he will remain actively involved in the community he has contributed so much to.

Thank you, Tom!
