Member Update: Domestic Mixed Touch (Swiss Cup)

This year sees the introduction of an exciting new format for the Swiss Cup, designed to create more competitive opportunities for the growing community of Touch clubs in Switzerland.


Qualifying Rounds

In May and June, clubs will compete in three divisions: a National Division and two Regional Divisions.

National Division (top four clubs from previous year):

  • Basel Touch
  • Geezers Zürich
  • LUC Lakers
  • Touch Rugby Bern

Regional East Division:

  • Baden Banditos
  • Luzern Honeybadgers
  • PWP Egg
  • Touch Rugby Üri
  • Zug Touch

Regional West Division:

  • Bagnes Bucks
  • Geneva Jets
  • Geneva Switzers
  • La Côte Touch
  • Terre-Sainte Titans

Any club second teams may compete in their respective Regional Divisions (Basel Touch and Geezers Touch in the East Division; LUC Lakers and Touch Rugby Bern in the West Division). 

The Qualifying Rounds will take place across four competition weekends. Block the dates in your calendar, and check with your club head to confirm if your team is competing on the Saturday or Sunday of each competition weekend, and in which location.

National Mixed Finals (Swiss Cup and Plate)

📅 20th September in Bern

The National Mixed Finals are our pinnacle event for the season, bringing all of our clubs together! Here’s how the Swiss Cup and Plate Competitions will be decided:

Cup Competition (6 clubs):

  • The four National Division clubs
  • The top-placed club from the East Division 
  • The top-placed club from the West Division

Plate Competition:

  • All other clubs from the East and West Divisions
  • Any club second teams (even if they won a Regional Division)

Promotion and Relegation:

The top four clubs in the Cup Competition will enter the 2026 National Division, while the bottom two clubs in the Cup Competition will be placed in their respective Regional Division for 2026. 

All clubs in the 2025 Plate Competition will remain in their respective Regional Division for the next season.
